Following the publication of the second edition of Artificial Intelligence: foundations of computational agents (with full text available online), we are pleased to announce AIPython: Python Code for AIFCA, which contains Python code for many algorithms in the textbook.

We have a beta prototype of AISpace 2, which includes AIPpython and Jupyter Lab integration, with graphical interactions with (currently) the searching, constraints and planning algorithms. This is under continued development.

We are pleased to announce the release of AIspace - a new resource for learning and teaching Artificial Intelligence, using applets that animate various AI algorithms.

AIspace is based on CIspace - our earlier site. Artificial Intelligence is a more accurate descriptor for these tools than Computational Intelligence. Along with the name change the following changes have been made:

  • The AIspace domain name is now aispace.org. After March 1st, 2008, all CIspace URLs will be automatically redirected to the AIspace homepage. Any links to CIspace should be updated to the AIspace website before then. The most recent version of an applet can be permanently linked to, using a link of the form: http://www.aispace.org/appletName.
  • The website has been significantly reorganized to enhance ease-of-use.
  • Older versions of the applets will now be archived. Visit the download page to access archived versions.
  • The Robot applet and Planning applet have been moved to the Prototype Applets section of the website. This section also includes a link to online applets created by David Poole which demonstrate various AI algorithms.
  • A forum has been added to allow convenient user support or feature requests.
